With a monthly gift, you’ll feel good knowing that each month you’re helping to provide books that people love, free programs that benefit our entire community, and library spaces that are open to all.

By making a major gift of $25,000 or more, your generosity will inspire and transform lives. Substantial or multi-year commitments enable the Library to creatively tackle current issues and provide innovative solutions to make the most out of vital programs. Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to remember or honor an individual. For gifts of $50 or more you can choose to recognize someone with a commemorative bookplate with the message of your choice to be placed in Jacksonville Public Library’s collection. Any gift of $50,000+ allows you an opportunity to establish a named fund in your name or in the name of a loved one.

The Easiest of Legacy Gifts is a Bequest by Will or Trust

All it takes is a simple designation in a will or trust, such as this sample language in your estate planning documents:

“I give and bequeath to Jacksonville Public Library Foundation, an unrestricted gift in the sum of $(Amount) or % (Percent) of my estate, real or personal, which I own at the time of my death or over which I have power of disposition. The Library Foundation of Jacksonville shall administer said assets for the sole benefit of Jacksonville Public Library.”
